There’s a lot of confusion heading into this weekend as the clocks will fall back in some areas and stay put in others.
Places like Alberta, Manitoba and parts of British Columbia are ditching the change to standard time and sticking with daylight saving.
Quebec is also planning to make a change within the next year.
Premier Tony Wakeham says he hasn’t received any formal requests to consider a time change, but says it will likely have to be considered for the simple sake of doing business.
He says when larger provinces start making changes, it messes with a lot of business matters. Wakeham says it’s something to look at to make sure NL aligns with the rest of Canada.
He plans to raise the matter when the premiers get together in December.
