NL Hydro is investigating the cause of a power surge that led to an outage affecting a large portion of the island on the weekend.
The power was lost around mid-day on Saturday in what NL Hydro officials call a “load shedding event.” It was restored within minutes.
A report on any such incident is typically filed with the PUB once the investigation is complete.
