The mayor of Brent’s Cove on the Baie Verte Peninsula says this is a very difficult time for the entire region as they deal with a fishing accident which claimed two lives.
Stanley Giles and Michael Peter Seymour, both of Harbour Round, did not make it after their boat was swamped not far from shore. Stanley’s brother, Junior Giles, survived and is recovering at home according to Mayor Colleen Haas.
The church in Harbour Round will be open from noon until 5:00 tomorrow for anyone who wishes to pay their respects or drop off food.
