If you have ever wanted to give City Hall a piece of your mind regarding your tax bill or services, here’s your chance.
The City of St. John’s has launched a comprehensive survey to gauge exactly how residents feel about municipal operations, the value they get for their taxes, and what the city’s top priorities should be. It’s the fifth such survey in the past eight years or so.
Mayor Danny Breen encourages anyone who gets a call from the firm compiling the survey to follow it through as public feedback is an important element of decision-making at City Hall.
He says if you look back on the results of the one done a couple of years ago, public safety, affordability and housing emerged as some of the top issues with residents.
On the public safety line, Mayor Breen says anyone concerned about the presence of needles in public spaces can contact 3-1-1.
