Police have arrested a second person in connection with an assault in Torbay last Thursday.
RNC cordoned off parts of Motion Drive following reports that a woman received non-life-threatening injuries the day prior.
That search warrant resulted in the seizure of two long guns and ammunition.
Police have now arrested a second suspect in the incident, 26-year-old Coady Careen, who is facing several charges including careless use of a firearm, assault, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
He was held to appear in court today.
The first suspect arrested in the case, 25-year-old Jesse Butt, is also facing a list of charges. He is set to appear in court again tomorrow morning.
Charges against Careen include:
- Assault
- Carelessly using a firearm
- Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Uttering threats to damage property
- And mischief by damaging property
