Great Northern Port Incorporated has had the resubmission of its proposed Marine Port Development just outside St. Anthony released from the Environmental Assessment process.
The company is proposing to develop an industrial subdivision and marine port at Crémaillère Harbour.
It is hoping to increase industrial development in the region by building on current and projected onshore and offshore logistics as well as potential military and Coast Guard needs.
The project was first registered in 2017, and released with conditions back in 2019, however it had to be registered again after the original EPR expired.
The company says the previous report has been updated as necessary to reflect current information and was subsequently registered a second time.
