The builders of Canada’s largest spaceport on the Burin Peninsula have been awarded a $20-million contract by the Department of National Defence.
The agreement gives DND priority access to NordSpace launch pad, which is located near St. Lawrence.
NordSpace says the agreement uniquely positions it in Canada’s sovereign launch effort.
The company announced last week it was entering the second phase of construction of the launch facility.
