A switch-a-roo behind the wheel of a car failed to pull the wool over the eyes of an RNC officer in metro last night.
Police stopped a vehicle on Topsail Road in Mount Pearl at about 6:00, but once it stopped, the officer saw the driver and passenger switch places.
By the time the dust had settled, a 37-year-old man had been charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and driving while impaired.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
