We’ll be hearing more “bread and butter” talk today from the provincial government at a news conference in Mount Pearl.
We don’t have details of the package but the location tells us that the measure will have a lot do with the expense of owning and driving a vehicle.
The news conference is slated for 10:30 at the Motor Vehicle in Mount Pearl. Finance Minister Craig Pardy will be joined by two members of the PC Caucus: St. George’s-Humber MHA Hal Cormier and Lewisporte Twillingate MHA Mark Butt.
VOCM News will be there.
Later today, the House of Assembly opens for the fall sitting and opposition parties are expected to press government to do more to help people with the cost of living.
