The Department of Tourism and Culture says it is sorry to hear that disruptive behaviour ruined the evening for patrons of the Arts and Culture Centre in St. John’s Sunday night.
Calls to VOCM Open Line yesterday described a couple of audience members who appeared to be intoxicated and were boisterous and disruptive during a concert performance.
The department says it understands how disappointing and upsetting it can be when bad behavior affects others.
Arts and Culture centres in the province follow “all applicable guidelines and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol. And alcoholic beverages must be purchased on-site and served in a sealed cup.”
The department says patrons who witness or experience disruptions are encouraged to bring it to the attention of staff so that they can be promptly addressed.
