The minister responsible for NL Housing calls the situation facing Iris Kirby House “very delicate” in terms of the tenants involved, and the board chair of Iris Kirby House is meeting with NL Housing to determine next steps.
The facility is assessing the damage after a flood that was caused after the sprinkler system was accidently triggered.
Minister Chris Tibbs says government will be offering whatever support it can and he wants residents to know those supports will be there for them.
