Government says it’s looking for input on how to reduce red tape.
Minister Lloyd Parrott, whose portfolio was recently expanded to include red tape reduction, is hoping to find ways to help people and businesses cut through government bureaucracy.
Parrott says the office recently created is looking for different perspectives on ways to cut it.
“Whether it’s mine or whether it’s a smaller store selling clothing, everyone deals with different things. So, we need to understand what all of that looks like and find a way to streamline it, so it works for all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians,” he told reporters.
“I think that’s going to require an urban lens that allows us to do business perhaps differently outside of the more populated areas too.”
