A St. John’s business has come to the aid of a young man who suffered an unprovoked attack in the downtown this week.
Darren Halloran of Always in Vogue brought the incident involving one of his employees to light.
The autistic man was struck repeatedly by a woman as he was walking in the downtown on his way to purchase a gift for a co-worker.
The incident left him bloodied and with broken glasses. The accused has since been arrested and is now facing two counts of assault in connection with that incident and a similar attack later in the day.
Carolina East brought the incident to the attention of S’Pairs Optical on LeMarchant Road and the business was only too happy to help Michael out with a new pair of glasses.
Their message? “Always be kind.”
