A truck driver from Montreal has been charged with impaired after being pulled over near the community of Pond Cove on the Great Northern Peninsula.
Port Saunders RCMP got a call about a suspected impaired driver just after 9:30 p.m. on June 20th.
The vehicle was located partially off the roadway, and open alcohol containers were found nearby.
The 57-year-old driver failed the breathalyzer.
The man, who was released from custody, will be back in court in September.
