A woman is dead following a crash between an RV and a car on the TCH near Whitbourne.
Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 2 p.m. yesterday. Traffic was rerouted for an extended period and the highway finally opened after 1:00 a.m. this morning.
The driver of the car, a 71-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and a passenger in the RV were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
