A 23-year-old man has been charged after being found unresponsive behind the wheel of a car in Stephenville Crossing.
Officers conducting routine patrols in the area were alerted to the situation just before 4:00 Tuesday afternoon after they were approached by a resident.
The man showed signs of drug-impairment and was administered Naloxone.
Paramedics were called to further treat the man, who was later asked to provide a blood sample to confirm his impairment.
RCMP searched the vehicle and seized an unauthorized weapon.
His licence was suspended and he was released to appear in court in December.
The investigation continues.
