The Privacy Commissioner has recommended that the provincial government release a record related to projections on greenhouse gas emissions from 2024 to 2050.
It follows a complaint made to the Privacy Commissioner after government refused to disclose all projections, citing two sections of ATIPP legislation, arguing that the information had monetary value and that the release of the information would be a premature disclosure of a proposal or project.
The complainant disagreed, and filed a complaint with the privacy commissioner’s office.
Commissioner Kerry Hatfield is recommending that the department of Environment release all information currently withheld within 10 business days of receiving her report.
