People in Newfoundland and Labrador will have a new way to get to the United States next summer. United Airlines is establishing a seasonal route to the New York metropolitan area.
The flight from St. John’s International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport will be offered every day from June to September of 2027.
St. John’s International CEO Dennis Hogan says this will be the first time that St. John’s will be connected to Newark in more than a decade.
He says re-establishing service to the U.S. seaboard is a “significant air access milestone” that will “unlock an extensive onward network of travel options.”
