The next step in twinning a stretch of the TCH in central Newfoundland has begun, but there’s still no specific timeline for construction.
Government will twin the highway between Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishop’s Falls, but first it has to expropriate land on the south side of the TCH.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has retained a surveyor and has taken steps to identify and notify affected property owners within the project area. Notices will also be posted at various locations.
Property owners who believe they may be affected and who have not yet been contacted by the department can email TI@gov.nl.ca
Government will use the same process for a similar expansion west of Whitbourne.
