An emotional tribute was paid in the House of Assembly today to a respected Torbay doctor who disappeared two weeks ago.
An extensive search in the Cape St. Francis area failed to turn up any sign of Dr. Thomas Hall whose vehicle was found near the marine park in Pouch Cove.
Choking back tears, John Hogan remembered Hall as a good friend and respected by his friends, family, peers and patients.
“I want to remember my great friend, Dr. Thomas Hall. Tommy was a family physician in Torbay who was loved by his patients. Whether he was treating them in his clinic, taking calls on nights and weekends, or visiting seniors, he made people feel comfortable, and cared for. His kindness as much as his skill as a doctor, meant the world to his patients. Outside of medicine Tommy was absolutely one of a kind. All he wanted was to enjoy life, have a laugh and not take things too seriously. He was incredibly unique.”
