The Deputy Premier says he makes no apologies for cancelling what he calls the Taj Mahal the previous government slated for Kenmount Crossing.
Barry Petten was responding to Opposition health critic Lisa Dempster who sought an apology to health care workers for calling the cancelled hospital the Taj Mahal.
“I will double-down” Petten responded. “That was a $14 billion Taj Mahal on Kenmount Crossing. I make no apologies for keeping the fiscal framework of this government intact.”
He says when the PCs took government, “guess how much they (the Liberals) had in the fiscal forecast? Zero! They had schools with zero. I had an infrastructure list with a load of zeros.”
