A St. John’s couple is $5 million richer after winning the Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot in Atlantic Lotto’s August 26th draw.
Scott Ennis and Susan Avery say they were shocked.
They expect the win to change not only their lives, but the lives of their young daughters.
Ennis says he heard through co-workers that someone in the province won the $5 million dollar prize, so he checked his numbers, never imagining that he was the winner.
Both Ennis and Avery plan to continue working, but have invested a “large portion” of their winnings so that they can retire early.
