A driver and his passenger each ran afoul of the law this week after Lewisporte RCMP stopped their car just outside Stanhope Thursday night.
The 32-year-old man who was driving blew two-and-a-half times the legal limit and his passenger, a 26-year-old man, got a little too testy with the officers. The Lewisporte resident now faces charges of resisting arrest, obstruction, and assaulting a police officer.
RCMP impounded the vehicle.
