A new Child and Youth Advocate has been appointed by the House of Assembly.
Wilma MacInnis, a registered social worker, had worked as a director at the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate up to now.
MacInnis steps into the position following the retirement of her predecessor, Linda Clemens-Spurrell, in August of last year.
The appointment is effective today.
